Hoezo verwennen. (spoiled??)

Af en toe moeten we wel eens oppassen,nou,af en toe,Rover is eigenlijk een deeltijd hond.Daar heeft hij echt geen bezwaar tegen hoor,gezien de zware baan die hij heeft.Bij ons kan hij lekker uitrusten,en zich laten verwennen zoals je ziet.Het appeltje geschild en in stukjes aan gereikt.Erg relaxed,zelfs voor het baasje.Hoezo hondenleven!!!!!




Rover is the black furry friend of Saskia. But once in a while( well.... more than once) he brings his pillow over to our house.
He has a busy job, going to work, entertaining the elderly in the nursinghome. So when he is at our place, he's taken care of in a big way. And of course there's food. Healthy food, like an apple. Cut in pieces. So relax Rover! It's a dogs live....

Dammit Doll. (MePOP)

Wat is dit toch een leuk project,ik kan er niet van afblijven de hartjes zitten er al op en de stofjes uitgezocht.Of het dit word weet ik nog niet,soms blijf ik schuiven maar nu kan ik weer lekker borduren.En hoe vinden jullie mijn nieuwe aan winst,mijn meppop, gekregen en gemaakt door Saskia.Daar kan ik mijn frustratie mee wegmeppen.Eigenlijk hoop ik hem niet te gebruiken hij is zo leuk,touwens,Saskia heeft er al een stuk gemept,ik laat wel weten als hij gesloopt is.


I really like this project. I couldn't wait to start block two. I made the first part of the second block, the hearts. I keep moving the fabrics around, not sure if this will be it. Well, first I have to do some stitchery. I got a Dammit Doll yesterday. Saskia made it, so I can let my frustrations out. I hope this one will stay together. Saskia killed one already..

Wat een snoepie.

Na een hele week ziekenhuis, dokters en bestralingen,lekker vanmiddag mijn eerste blok in elkaar gezet. Dat gepruts doet een mens goed en ik werd er zelfs vrolijk van toen het af was. Gelijk maar een foto en zie hier het resultaat.gaaf he? Op naar de volgende.

After a week of hospital, doctors and irradiations, I wanted to play with my fabrics. I put the first leanne's House BOM block together. It brings a person to other thoughts. It even made me a bit cheerful when I finished it. So a photo of it and voila! Cool huh? So bring on the next one.

Doorgaan. (keep on going)

Wat ben ik blij met deze fijne hobby, daar kan ik nu veel energie instoppen en soms mijn tranen in verbergen.
Afgelopen week is er botmetastasen geconstateerd en het ziet er niet goed uit.
Hoe verdrietig kan een mens zijn, weer beginnen met bestralen en infusen.
Ik hoop op nog wat tijd om een beetje pijnvrij te leven en aan mijn UFO's te kunnen werken.
Aan mijn holland Amerika lijn heb ik de laatste tijd kunnen werken.
De blokken zijn nu gequilt en ik ga ze verder de "quilt as you go" aan elkaar zetten.
Door de lichte en donkere blokken diagonaal door elkaar te gooien heeft het een minder somber effect gekregen.
Hoe ik deze nu makkelijk aan elkaar kan krijgen gaat Saskia me binnekort laten zien.
Nu kan ik even verder met leanne'House.

I'm so glad I have a quiltpassion. These last day's I put a lot of energy and tears into it.
Last week I got the very bad message that I have bone metastasis, and it's not looking good! How much can a person handle?, I have to start again with irradiation and IV drip, and medication.
I hope on some more time to live a painfree life and to finish my UFO's and WIP's.
I worked on the 'Holland- Amerika' quilt and I finished quilting the blocks.
I'm gona sew them together with the 'quilt as you go' method.
The diagonal line of dark and light blocks makes it less moody.
How to get those blocks together in a neat way? Saskia will show me later.
For now I can work on my Leanne's house BOM block and stitchery.

Samenspannen

Het lijkt wel of alles af moet, trouwens dat is ook zo. Saskia kwam zaterdagochtend om te helpen met spannen en sandwichen. Geweldig daar was ik blij mee,dat is het vervelenste klusje, een rugpijn en blaren klus. We hebben er twee gedaan,dus voorlopig heb ik genoeg te quilten. Tussendoor kan ik aan Leanne'House BOM werken, dus even geen nieuwe projecten er bij voor mij.Dit in tegenstelling tot Heidi, die graag aan een nieuwe uitdaging begint...


I feel the need, to finish all of my UFO's and WIP's. Saskia came over last saturday to help me sandwich. I think it's one of the most unpleasant tasks to do. It gives me backpain and blisters. But we did two, so for now I have more than enough to quilt. Between those two projects to quilt, I can work on the leanne's house BOM. For me no more new projects to start. Heidi instead loves a new start,right Heidi?!

Nieuwe uitdaging. (new Challenge)

Een nieuw jaar en een nieuw project,Leanne's House.
Heb nog even getwijfeld of ik er wel aan zou beginnen omdat er best nog aardig wat UFO's liggen.
Toch de knoop maar doorgehakt en lapjes bij elkaar gesprokkeld en begonnen met borduren,hardstikke leuk om te doen!
Intussen ook een kleine weddenschap met Heidi en Saskia om de nodige UFO's af te maken, ik stort me op VIER UFO's en zal wel zien hoe ver ik kom.
Ga nu maar gauw beginnen.

The start of a new year, means a new project. Leanne's House BOM.
I wasn't sure if I would start this project, just because I have a lot of UFO's and WIP's.
But I couldn't resist, so I gathered some of my fabrics and started with the stitchery. I enjoy it!
And I made a bet with Heidi and Saskia to finish some of those UFO's. I try to finish 4 of my UFO's. So I have to start and work, work, work!

Toch nog even wat foto's in kerstsfeer.
De notenkrakers zijn een hobby van mijn husband,maar ik vind ze ook erg leuk hoor!
Mijn liefde zijn de Little Angels van Willow Tree.
Soms denk ik nu is het genoeg,maar rond deze tijd begint het weer te kriebelen, er kan nog meer bij.
En dan de Quiltshop ,die moet je als quiltster toch ook in huis hebben??
Tot slot het kleine kerkje van tiffany als eyecatcher en dan nog verschillende kerstquilts, heel gezellig allemaal.
Dan wens ik iedereen nog hele fijne dagen,en een gezond en creatief 2010.

A few photo's of my favorit christmas things. The nutcrackers are collected by my dear Husband. But I love them too. The willow Angels bij the little Tiffany church are collected by me. Every year I think, I have enough, but them with the christmas spirit and all, well.... there's always room for more! I started with a photo of a little quiltshop in Christmas style, My two favorit things together in one house, how great is that? And you can't see them, but there are a few christmasquilts hanging in my house too. I wish for everyone a creative and healthy 2010!
